Here is the math:
A single match is usually made every 1.3 to 2.3 shots. With a decent average being around every 1.8 shots, or roughly every other shot in a worst-case scenario. Each shot can be intelligently made at the approximate rate of one per second, or one every two seconds. Certianly master players can make two shots per second. On the default setting the agent now makes one shot every two seconds. On it's fastest setting, the agent makes about one shot each second and a half. Assuming the default setting, and a low estimate for matches per shot, it will require approximately 10,000 shots to make 5,000 matches, which works out to 20,000 seconds or roughly 5 and a half hours. In my opinion this is comparable to how long a human player would take to complete the challenge. I expect a human who completed the challenge would probably have to be above average at speed, or they would just give up. I expect that in a marathon blitzkreig, a skilled user could complete the challenge in 8,000 shots over 6,000 seconds, not counting game downtime. Which would utlimately amount to just over two hours to complete the challenge. That pace would probably be difficult to maintain.
